Twitter something only for the elitists? I believe that twitter has many uses other then just be to write what you are doing every 20 sec. That you can write something very quick and reach many users is a very good thing, and that is exacly why Twitter (or any other microblogs for that matter) is a good thing to use for education. I dont think you shall use it instead of litterature or something like that, but when you combine the fast information you can get with twitter it helps people that attend to a certain course to get information, when for instance something gets canceled, if there is a new homework, or something that is important that you find out fast.

They have a project at M3 where they uses twitter as a tool to help them distribute information in a quick way.

Microblogging is a way to help students to feel part of a class when you are talking distance courses, it is also a way to encourage discussion, since it is simple and easy to use. It's very good for group-work and collaborate writing, and perhaps the most important is that its keeps students up to date with all relevant information.

you can use Twitter in many ways, this is just one way that you can use it, like an venue

Nu har kursen startat, jag läser den via distans och skolan som har kursen är Umeå universitet, kursen är på engelska så det är möjligt att jag i fortsättningen kommer att skriva på engelska i bloggen under tiden som kursen håller på.
